Admin Roles: Restrict ability to delete comments or mark comments as spam

Description

Only admins with superadmin, board, policy_and_abuse, communications, or support roles should

  • have a “Delete” option on logged in and guest comments and be able to use it

  • have a “Spam” or “Not Spam” option on guest comments and be able to use it

Regardless of role, admins should

  • see a blue notice banner on comments that are currently marked as spam

  • not see the blue notice banner once the comment has been marked as not spam

Docs and Support Roles

I can:

  • See and use the Delete button on logged-in and guest comments

  • See and use the Spam/Not Spam button on guest comments

  • See the blue flash message that a comment has been marked as spam. This message goes away when a comment is unmarked as spam.

(The number of comments on the work accurately only counts non-spam comments, and updates when a comment is deleted or marked/unmarked as spam.)

Jessie from Board was able to delete comments and mark them as spam.

Claudia from Comms:

  • So far I seem to be able to do what's needed on the test account -- posting, editing, spam clearance, etc.
